Andrii Zhukov/Андрій Жуков. Kyiv, Ukraine.

Painter, photo artist, decorator, digital artist.

Born in Kyiv in 1972. Graduated in Fine Arts at the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’, 2006. A Bachelor of Fine Arts 2004, Master of Fine Arts 2006. Prior to which he also studied Fine Arts in the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

Main directions of creative activity are easel painting (figurative painting, symbolism, still life, landscape), metal artworks in mixed etching and chemical rusting technique, handmade pinhole photography, fresco, decorative art, 

sculptural art-objects (concrete), graphic art, digital and analog art photography, and digital art.

Winner of the Odessa International Art Prize 2019.

Andrii’s artworks are present in several private collections in Ukraine, Europe, and the USA.

The painting "Ad Astra" is in the collection of Chernivtsi Fine Arts Museum, Ukraine.

The artist took part in many co-exhibitions and art-projects.

Andrii is a modern Ukrainian symbolist and fantastic realist.

Many of his works have a deep philosophical subtext.

The artist loves to play with meanings, rethink ancient myths, and hide riddles in the images.

The process of creating one figurative painting lasts for months, because it requires many layers and the artist is very demanding.
